2020年KET改革后，口语依然是第三张卷子，人人互动式考试，共2个部分8-10分钟。在此期间，两位考生对阵两位考官。一位是主考官，又名提问考官即interlocutor，主要负责向考生提问。副考官又名评分考官即assessor，全程沉默、观察、记录。两位考官都会评分，评分标准见下文。当考生人数为奇数时，最后一组考生为3人共同参加考试。
